A double chin or a sagging neck is a common condition that occurs when a layer of fat forms below your chin. It is often associated with weight gain, but you don’t have to be overweight to have one. Genetics or looser skin resulting from aging may also cause a double chin and lead to a sagging neck.

What is double chin?

A double chin occurs when there are excess fats under the chin and neck area which gathers around the neck sagging down to create a wrinkle that looks as if he/she has a secondary chin, The appearance of a double chin can dramatically affect the confidence and self-esteem of a person by making those who have the condition looking older or appearing to be heavier than they are.

What Causes A Double Chin?

There are a few factors that contribute to a double chin and it is usually a combination of these factors that result in a visible double chin, not just excess fat like many individuals assume.
